2020 Key Dates and Instructions for Grant Review Team Members

Training will be available to ensure you can participate in a meaningful way. Five Grant Review Teams (GRT) will meet virtually to review applications and choose which finalist organizations members will vote on in September. If you are interested in being on a GRT, please follow these guidelines and reserve these times. Note that a few of these dates may shift. We will make every effort to work out scheduling conflicts and/or provide recorded experiences if changes take place. Lastly, we don’t know whether we can offer GRT participation to everyone who shows interest, but we have lots of grantmaking volunteer opportunities we can explore with you for this year.

  • Tues, April 28, 5:30-6:30 pm: Live Zoom GRT Info Session and Q&A. NOTE: This is required for GRT participation, and joining the live online session is strongly encouraged as we will all benefit from the interactivity. However, you may view the video any time until May 8 if your live participation is not possible.

  • Thurs, May 7: ninety-nine girlfriends membership deadline

  • Mon, May 11: REQUIRED GRT interest forms due for prospective GRT participants

  • Thurs, June 4, 10 am-noon: GRT member training #1

  • Thurs, June 18, 5:30-7:30 pm: GRT member training #2

NOTE: BOTH GRT member trainings are required, but will be recorded for later viewing if attendance is not possible.

  • Late June through mid-July: Review applications on your own time

  • Mid-July through August: Meet with your team to decide on finalist organizations

NOTE: You will have several meetings during this time, which may be virtual, but you will need to “attend” them live, so team members should try to keep schedules as available and flexible as possible during this timeframe.

  • Mid September: We are working on a revised version of Meet the Finalists and voting - details will be shared when available

  • End of September: Checks distributed to organizations

  • Early December: Awards Celebration (not required, but highly encouraged and recommended!)

Please register for the GRT Info Session, or email any questions to the Grant Review Team Co-coordinators, April Hasson or Sara Daley

We hope to gain your help in our grantmaking process this year!
