Our 2022 grant-making cycle is now open and we are excited to announce that we are investing $450,000 in our community this year. We will grant one Impact Award of $70,000 and one Finalist Award of $15,000 in each of our five focus areas. Plus, all semi-finalists that don't advance to the next round, will receive a recognition gift of $2,500.
We are grateful to have some reserve funds, largely due to lower expenses throughout COVID and the extra generosity of Girlfriends, that we have added to our 2022 membership funds to increase our investment in the community. Thanks to our Grant Steering Committee, Coordinating Council and Governing Board for their committee to our principle of making impactful grants.
This year, ninety-nine girlfriends will fund organizations that are working to dismantle systemic racism, advance anti-racism, and move our region towards racial equity as defined and experienced by BIPOC communities (Black, Indigenous and people of color). Read more about our grantmaking here.
Applications from nonprofits are due by 5:00 PM PDT on June 6, 2022. If you want to know more about our grantmaking, or outreach efforts, please contact Sara Daley.
