This is our final event before our membership deadline, so please invite guests who you are recruiting.
While we are grateful that gathering in person is back on the table, we still deeply appreciate the barriers that are eliminated when we bring important people and conversations together virtually. This is why we are so pleased to share ninety-nine girlfriends' signature Discovery Forum coming to you live over Zoom on Thursday, April 27, from noon-1:30 pm.
We have a stellar lineup of panelists in place, including Portland Street Response, Lift Every Voice Oregon, and Leaven Community Land & Housing Coalition. Tune in for a discussion about how they have collaborated within and across communities to address issues in our region, moderated by Girlfriend Jody Feldman.
Focusing on providing services to people experiencing mental health crises, Portland Street Response is the result of the work of journalists, politicians, public safety officials, and homeless advocates coming together to imagine a new approach to public safety in Portland.
Leaven is an interfaith coalition of Sikh, Jewish, Unitarian, and Christian churches across Clackamas, Washington, and Multnomah Counties. Their work is focused on creating housing equity and immigration and racial justice at the community, county, and state levels.
Lift Every Voice Oregon’s mission is to make Oregon safer by reducing gun violence. The group is a coalition of faith leaders and gun safety advocates from across Oregon. Through their work, they passed Measure 114, which requires background checks and gun safety training before purchasing a gun.
