Black United Fund of Oregon (BUF) currently has multiple open volunteer and business partnerships opportunities. Check out the ways that ninety-nine girlfriends can support BUF below and contact BUF's Volunteer Coordinator to get involved.
Archiving/ Sorting BUF Documents (1 or 2 people)
Help BUF sort through its archives and determine what is worth keeping and how to best preserve and protect those items. The volunteers should have knowledge of the retention of non-profit documents and knowledge of how to create these electronically through a creative lens.
BUF Talks (monthly virtual presentations)
Share your career story to help young people better understand ways you have pursued the career you love. BUF is especially interested in BIPOC adults who have entered non-traditional work paths.
Scholarship Writing Workshops
Share your story and your resume. Guide students on the process necessary to write an effective application.
Review Scholarship applications
Help review the BUF scholarship applications and help them select the winners.
Contact Saeeda Wright if you are interested in this opportunity
Host BUF talks at your business or organization
Help people better understand the work and value of BUF by providing opportunities for staff and students to present to members of your organizations.
