  • Racial equity and related issues of intersectionality, implicit bias and racial justice were the top topics that respondents want to emphasize this year.

  • Over 50% of respondents said that because of being part of ninety-nine girlfriends they were more aware of community issues and contributed more funds to local nonprofits.

Select comments shared:

  • “I really appreciate the breadth of events and outreach done with/for members to educate and learn together, that give insight both to community organizations and the structure of ninety-nine girlfriends itself.”

  • “Connect people who want to be on nonprofit boards.”

  • “I appreciate the tremendous work of the leadership team and all of the volunteers. I also have seen more diversity among our membership. I'd like to see us continue to push for that and continue to have more diverse women out front during our events. We are doing a good job of that and let's keep it up!”

  • “I would like to see ninety-nine girlfriends move towards a more trust-based philanthropic model, increase its diversity in membership and leadership, and involve the community we are trying to serve in part of our decision making.”
