One of the things I love about ninety-nine girlfriends is that we are willing to try new things and learn from the experience. Sometimes we keep developing things and other times we let things go.
Our blog, Stories with Heart, is one of those things that we have decided to let go.
The inspiration of Heidi Yorkshire and Elizabeth Mehren, the blog was an attempt to create another channel to share grantee partner stories with girlfriends and a way for members to share their stories with other members.
As we begin our sixth year of ninety-nine girlfriends, we are re-focusing on our mission, embedding racial equity, and prioritizing essential functions. Our goal is to create a sustainable, impactful, and rewarding experience for all of our volunteers—who keep ninety-nine girlfriends alive. To that end, we will be sunsetting the blog with gratitude to Heidi, Elizabeth, Marcy, and Kaye who made up the Blog Team, and every member who wrote, interviewed for, or edited the blog.
Don’t worry. The stories with heart won’t be leaving us. Just the blog. You’ll find the stories in the every-other-week Member Update or the Quarterly News.
