2026 LETTER OF INTEREST and Full AppLICATION Questions

LOI NARRATIVE QUESTIONS

Please follow the suggested word count of ~160 words or 1000 characters for each question. Each of these questions specifically addresses your proposed funding opportunity with ninety-nine girlfriends.

  1. Tell us about your organization’s mission, history, and the population you serve. 

  2. Describe the root causes of the community needs to which your organization is responding. 

  3. Describe how your work aligns with the criteria of your selected focus area.

  4. Share examples of your accomplishments and evidence of the short and/or long-term impact of your work.

  5. How does the leadership of your organization (board members, key staff members, volunteers) reflect the communities you serve? How do the voices of the people you serve influence your work? 

  6. How does your organization define and address the inequity issues experienced by the communities you serve?

  1. Given the community needs you described in your LOI, what are your most critical priorities to address those needs?  How did you identify these priorities?

  2. Provide evidence, both quantitative and qualitative, of how your organization knows it is accomplishing its mission.

  3. Describe the equity and inclusion practices within your organization, including your board, and how they inform your approach to the communities you serve.

  4. Describe how your organization learns from experience and explores fresh ways to develop innovative solutions to enhance your programs.  

  5. What unique expertise does your staff, board, and volunteers contribute to your ability to advance your mission?

  6. If you are funded by ninety-nine girlfriends in 2026, how will the funding help you accomplish your mission?
