Our Grantmaking, Education, Communications and Events Planning Committees have specific calendars that are available from our committee chairs.  

Feb-May

World Cafe Introductory Conversations are held at members' homes. These are 90-minute, small-group events meant to introduce new and potential members to ninety-nine girlfriends. For specific World Cafes click here and to see dates and sign-up information. 

FEB 28

A Solutions Salon with 2017 Impact Award Winner, Portland Homeless Family Solutions. This is a discussion about affordable housing and homelessness in our community. This is for members only. For details click here and sign up information. 

March 8

Understanding Implicit Bias, a Workshop for members, 8:30-2:30pm. Click here to see our detailed calendar and read more about the workshop. 

MARCH 15

March 26

April 8

April 10

Members, if you would like to work on a grant review team in 2018, you need to have your membership contribution in by April 10. Others have until May 10 to make their contributions.

April 16 

Deadline for submitting an application to join ninety-nine girlfriends as a Fellow. Click here to read more and download the application. 

April 17

Ninety-nine girlfriends 2018 Launch Lunch for members - 11:30am - World Forestry Center. Cost: $16/pp. Click here to see our detailed calendar and read more about the Launch. 

April 29, May 1, May 2

Learning Labs for members, exploring Philanthropy Basics and Philanthropy in Action, will be held at members' homes. Click here to see the detailed calendar and read more about these sessions.

May 10 

Deadline for becoming a member of ninety-nine girlfriends for 2018. Join now! After May 10, we will know the value of our  fund for 2018! Our goal is to have 330 girlfriends join for 2018 so we can give THREE $100,000 Impact Awards and two $15,000 Finalist Awards. 

May 15

A New Member Orientation will be held at  6pm on May 15.  Click here to see our detailed calendar and read more about orientation sessions. (The lunch time orientation was moved to June 11)

May 22

We will be announcing our grant opportunities for 2018 on May 21. Stay tuned to hear how much our collective giving circle has raised and will be able to award. Award amounts available this year will be listed on our website and email announcements will be sent to hundreds of nonprofits. Letter of Interest (LOI) forms will be posted on our website. 

May 30

Three 90-minute workshops for nonprofit leaders about how to complete our Letter of Interest (LOI) forms will be held. Times and locations for the sessions will be posted here soon. Click here for the complete grantmaking timeline. 

June 11

June 12

DISCOVERY FORUM IS MOVING TO OCT 12 TO ALLOW MORE MEMBERS TO  ATTEND. This is an exciting session exploring philanthropy and how ninety-nine girlfriends fits into the larger giving community in our four-county region. Click here to see our detailed calendar and read more about the session.

June 22

Letters of Interest (LOI's) from nonprofits interested in applying for a ninety-nine girlfriends grant are due. 

August/September

Grant review teams meet to discuss Letters of Interest and make decisions regarding semi-finalists. 20 semi-finalists will be selected, three from each of the five focus areas. 

September 14

15 semi-finalists, three from each focus area, selected and announced. 

SEPTEMBER 20

A  90-minute information session on how to complete the full proposals will be held for the 15 semi-finalists. Click here for the complete grantmaking timeline. 

OCT 2

Oct 8

Request for proposals due from 15 semi-finalists.

November 7

Five finalists, one from each focus area, selected for the ninety-nine girlfriends ballot. Two runners-up from each focus area selected for the second ninety-nine girlfriends ballot.

November 14

Online voting period for members. 

Early December
