Implicit Bias Workshop - Gender Bias and Intersectionality

Last year the ninety-nine girlfriends Member Education Committee invited Diamond Law Training to lead a workshop for our members to think more deeply about implicit bias (the attitudes and stereotypes that affect our actions and decisions in an unconscious manner). The workshop at Mercy Corps was well attended and well received. Members asked to learn more about this very important issue that affects all of us and intersects with our member recruiting and grantmaking.

This year the learning continues as Diamond Law returns for a fresh conversation on gender bias and intersectionality. This engaging workshop includes the film My Whole Self, which features women at the intersections of race, age, and transgender identity.

This workshop is appropriate for those who attended last year AND those who are new to implicit bias training. Come with an open heart and mind, and learn alongside your girlfriends. Due to limited space, this is a members-only event.

SAVE THE DATE:  Wednesday, March 6, 2019, from 8:30am to 2:30pm at Mercy Corps Northwest. Watch your inbox for an eventbrite invitation coming soon!
